The circumstances of funding. Within 10 years in fund raising is not an easy going for Monphy & Youth NGO staffs.
It’s full of challenges, frustrations allegations and discouragements.
Upon the good and bad news circulations we could make it through with determination, some people’s sympathetic and courageous words empowered us.
I quite remember at Shinjuku station, a guy in his early 40s kicked off all displayed boards and fundraising box on the ground.
The boards and box containing the amount raised at the time scattered.
The Passers-by sympathize, helped to rearranged the items and apologized to me.
When am about to close for the day, a staff from a nearby electronic store (Bic Camera) approached me and said “your good heart and patience will take you far”.
He then donated ¥1,000.
Some onlookers around heard what he said and were inspired to donate as well.
I feel this is an encouragement and the power behind my resilience throughout the challenging times in this fundraising journey.
I never regret doing funding but sometimes I thought and felt why should I carry such a burden on my shoulders but I realize if not me who?
Someone has to do it no matter the circumstances.
I must sacrifice for the lost children.
This is my vision!
I understand how difficult it is extend financial assistance to other people that you may not know, yet your constant support never ceases to amaze me.
I have come to appreciate that we do not live purposely only for ourselves but also for others.
